Arctic Wandering... Gary's Sponsor's

Canada Goose provided at cost their Snow Mantra parka and bib overalls. Their parkas are used in Antarctica and through out the arctic. The Snow Mantra is there best parka and it keeps me warm at 45 below zero and a 25mph wind. I would highly recommend their products to anyone traveling in extreme cold environments.

Steger Mukluks gave me a new pair of mukluks. During the winter (2005-2006) I lived in their mukluks, my feet were toasty warm, I put them on when I got out of bed in the morning and took them off when I went to bed at night.

C-Map donated all the electronic charts for my trip, which covers the whole arctic and the Canadian east coast and Norway down to Scotland.

The University of Alaska loaned me an Iridium Satellite Phone, which will enable me to receive weather information from Ocens Inc. and place phone calls.

Surrette Batteries donated two of their 8D-325 amp hour batteries, which increases my storage capacity.

Dickinson Stoves provided at cost a new stove, as the one I was using was five years old. It kept my boat warm when it was 45 below zero outside.

Canadian North airlines flew my new batteries to Cambridge Bay. The normal cost would have been $800 - $1000.

Starpath Navigation donated a Sunstone, which will be used to navigate From Greenland to Norway as the Vikings did 1000 years ago. They might be helping in other ways also.

Ocens provided me with their weather net software and weather downloads. These are needed as I sail through ice.
