• Update June 25, 2009

The boat was launched yesterday after three weeks of work. The holes in the hull could not be fixed here; I was told it could be done in Nuuk, Iceland. The bottom needed to be sand blasted and repainted but they didn’t have sand. I sanded the bad spots and will have to wait until Iceland to get all the jobs done properly. Most of the things that broke last year have been fixed and a new auto pilot has been installed, which will make life much easier as I won’t have to steer all the time. I will leave for Nuuk in the next couple of days. The engine started right up I only ran it for a minute as I have to change the fuel filters and oil.  I will get the new main and staysail in Nuuk. All in all Wanderer is in better condition than when we arrived here last year.
